Statement of Purpose

Friends groups across the nation support library programs  which are cultural, educational and recreational.  Support of the goals of the library's Board of Directors is also undertaken.

We strive to accomplish the following goals:

	Bring together people interested in books and libraries.
	Establish closer relations between the library and the community it serves.
	Promote increased knowledge of the resources, services, and needs of the library.
	Enrich the library's resources through funds from membership, gifts, and fund-raising.
	Encourage participation in library activities through story hours, book discussion groups, oral history projects and other special activities.
